The LSC is an elected body that has three main responsibilities: School Budget; Continuous Improvement Work Plan; and Principal Evaluation, Retention and Selection. All are welcome to attend and to make comments during the Public Comments portion of the meeting.
5/09 Payton Community Meeting, 6-7:15PM, Library
Come hear Principal Devine's update on what's happening at school, learn about ways to get involved through FOP and chat with other parents and guardians.
5/16 We Are Payton Parents Session, 6:15-7:30PM, Library
In this final session of the year for our parent/guardian community, Dr. Bauer and the We Are Payton organization will host a discussion about teens, drugs and the opioid crisis.

5/20 Payton's 5K Fun Run, 8AM start time, south end of Lincoln Park Zoo
Don’t miss out on the family fun at Payton’s inaugural 5K! The event will begin at 8 a.m. in Grove 2 of Lincoln Park, just south of Lincoln Park Zoo/Farm. Registration fees are $10 per person or 4 people for $34. Once you register four people, you will automatically receive a $6 discount at checkout. Payton's Boosters Association is dedicated to raising school spirit, fundraising for Payton's interscholastic teams, and celebrating and publicizing the achievements of our incredibly talented Grizzly students. Boosters welcomes all parents and guardians interested in supporting Payton's interscholastic competitive teams (chess, basketball, math team, soccer etc.).

Friends of Payton (FOP) is a parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID #36-4409659) that raises funds and provides volunteer assistance to support Walter Payton College Prep. Our mission is to enrich educational and extracurricular activities with outside resources to supplement the limited funding allotted to Payton through the public school system.
