1/22      Payton Boosters Meeting, 6-7PM, Library

Payton's Boosters organization is dedicated to raising school spirit, fundraising for Payton's interscholastic teams, and celebrating and publicizing the achievements of our incredibly talented Grizzly students. We welcome all parents and guardians interested in supporting Payton's interscholastic competitive teams (chess, basketball, math team, soccer etc.).

2/13      Local School Council Meeting, 6-8PM, Library

The LSC is an elected body that has three main responsibilities: School Budget; Continuous Improvement Work Plan; and Principal Evaluation, Retention and Selection. All are welcome to attend and to make comments during the Public Comments portion of the meeting.

2/14      Payton Community Meeting, 6-7:15PM, Library

Come hear Principal Devine's update on what's happening at school, learn about ways to get involved through FOP and chat with other parents and guardians.

2/19      Payton Boosters Meeting, 6-7PM, Library

3/2        Sweetness Day, Payton's Annual Day of Service, 8AM-3PM

Sweetness Day is our school's annual day of service honoring Walter Payton, whose nickname was Sweetness. On March 2nd, Payton students and faculty -- accompanied by dozens of parent/guardian chaperones -- will head out in advisory groups to help with community service projects across the city. 3/3        Payton Annual Parent-Teen Conference, 12-2PM

This conference is designed to explore topics identified and presented by teens. Lunch is included. Stay tuned for more details. 

3/9        Payton Spring Gala: Block Party, 6:30-10PM, Moonlight Studios in West Loop

Our annual fundraising gala, themed Block Party 2018, will be held on Friday, March 9, 6:30-9:30pm, at Moonlight Studios (1446 W. Kinzie, Chicago, IL 60642). Please plan on coming to our "Block Party" for food, games and entertainment from our city's diverse neighborhoods. Friends of Payton (FOP) is a parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID #36-4409659) that raises funds and provides volunteer assistance to support Walter Payton College Prep. Our mission is to enrich educational and extracurricular activities with outside resources to supplement the limited funding allotted to Payton through the public school system.
