3/14 We Are Payton Parents Speaker Series, 6:15-7:30PM, Library
The "We Are Payton Parents" speaker series gives our community the opportunity to come together and learn from experts about topics specific to raising teenagers in today's world. The focus of this session is "Hanging Out and Hooking Up: Partying in the 21st Century."
3/19 Payton Boosters Meeting, 6-7PM, Library
Payton's Boosters Association is dedicated to raising school spirit, fundraising for Payton's interscholastic teams, and celebrating and publicizing the achievements of our incredibly talented Grizzly students. Boosters welcomes all parents and guardians interested in supporting Payton's interscholastic competitive teams (chess, basketball, math team, soccer etc.).
4/10 Local School Council Meeting, 6-8PM, Library
The LSC is an elected body that has three main responsibilities: School Budget; Continuous Improvement Work Plan; and Principal Evaluation, Retention and Selection. All are welcome to attend and to make comments during the Public Comments portion of the meeting.
4/11 Payton Community Meeting, 6-7:15PM, Library
Come hear Principal Devine's update on what's happening at school, learn about ways to get involved through FOP and chat with other parents and guardians.
4/19 Report Card Pickup & Teacher Conferences, 11:30am-6:45pm
Report cards for the third marking period can be picked up at school. Students will not attend class on this day. The school will email details and sign-up instructions for teacher conferences in the coming weeks.
Friends of Payton (FOP) is a parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID #36-4409659) that raises funds and provides volunteer assistance to support Walter Payton College Prep. Our mission is to enrich educational and extracurricular activities with outside resources to supplement the limited funding allotted to Payton through the public school system.
