Dear Senior Parents/Guardians and Seniors,

It is hard to believe that we are nearing second semester, and graduation for the class of 2018 is approaching. Below are key senior event dates and locations including prom, senior luncheon, and graduation. You will be receiving more detailed information as we approach the dates.

We are currently soliciting financial sponsors for the graduation program and graduation flowers. Please contact me at mlmowery@cps.edu if you are interested in donating. All sponsor names will be included in the graduation program.

Best,

Michelle Mowery

Class of 2018 Graduation at Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier

Monday, June 11    5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Graduate Drop-Off: Entrance 2, 3:15 p.m.

What time should graduates arrive at the Aon Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier on Monday, June 11?

Arrival time for graduates is 3:15 p.m. Students should not bring valuables or purses with them because there is no secure location for their items. Graduates should have robes, caps, and tassels when they are dropped off as they will be lining up immediately for a quick practice.

What time should guests arrive?

All family members and guests will be allowed into the Aon Grand Ballroom at 4:30 p.m. and will choose their seats on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are valid for both the first floor as well as the balcony. Only guests with tickets will be admitted. Graduation will begin at 5:00 p.m. and end at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Where should persons with disabilities enter more easily?

Entrance 2 is the closest drop-off area for graduates as well as persons with disabilities.

What if I need special disability accommodations?

Seating will begin at 4:15 p.m. for those who need special assistance.  There are no wheelchairs available so please plan to bring your own if necessary. We will have several NHS juniors available to help seat those who need extra help.

Where should I park?

Navy Pier parking is $28 for the entire day. There are no special discounts available. There is a free trolley that Navy Pier runs as well: navypier.com/trolley/

You may also want to consult a parking app such as SpotHero.

Are there any items that I may not bring into the area?

Because of the high ceiling, balloons are strictly forbidden. Please leave balloons in another location because they will not be allowed in the facility.

Will a photographer be taking pictures of the graduates?

Stuart-Rodgers Photography will be taking professional photographs of the graduates as they receive their diplomas. These pictures will be available for purchase. You will receive information about the pictures through an email after the ceremony.
