FOP has many avenues by which parents can become involved at Payton. Even if you volunteer on a project-by-project basis or sit on a committee, as an all volunteer organization, we welcome your support.

Fundraising Committee
Organizes and coordinates the annual Gala Dinner & Auction, the annual mail solicitation and other events that raise funds to supplement Payton's budget.

Spirit and Community Committee
Organizes the Cubby Stroll, the school’s student annual walk-a-thon, and supports special school events, such as Freshman Orientation, Curriculum Night, Report Card Pick-Up, the Teacher/Staff Appreciation Luncheon, the Senior Lunch and the Spring Sports/Academic Banquet.

Parent College Committee
Works to provide information to parents about the college application process and supports efforts of the school counseling department. Holds informational meetings for parents to help navigate the college search and application process. Participation is suggested for Junior or Senior parents or parents with recent, college application experience.

Parent Network Committee
Produces the “Parent Pass the Word” e-newsletter which provides timely information to parents. Encourages parent involvement at the school and in FOP through events directed to parents, such as the Freshman Family Pizza Party and Parents’ Nites Out. Helps maintain the school database and produces the Student Directory.

Global Connections Committee
Supports all existing and potential student travel programs by assisting the involved teachers, chaperones, parents and students with a variety of needs. One of our goals is to develop sustainability for Payton’s growing travel programs and provide opportunities to the greatest number of students possible. Additionally, the committee supports global and cultural education by hosting the annual International Night as well as events where Payton students can interact with visiting exchange students.
