Walter Payton’s 10th Anniversary Challenge Grant
Through the visionary generosity of several Payton families, we have received a pledge of $225,000 toward a Challenge Grant. That means that all donations to Friends of Payton or PPIE (Payton’s endowment fund) during the school year will be DOUBLED up to $225,000. We have the potential of raising $450,000 to fund much-needed technology, professional recruitment and development, student seminars, activities and events. Given our successful campaigns in past years, we have every confidence we will meet this goal.

Our Spring Student Fundraising Event
Payton students will be signing up sponsors for their four mile “stroll” from Payton to Wrigley Field
where they will spend the afternoon watching the Cubs game.
Last year, during our very first Stroll, our students raised a fantastic $20,000.
Now that the word is out, we’re expecting to double participation and double our goal to $40,000.
Be sure your student gets in on the action!

International Night!
The International Club and the World Language Department will sponsor the annual International Week the week of May 17th, with International Night on Wednesday May 19th. The students have many great events planned, such as a world language sing along, a poster contest, and a dance-off. As always, there will be international cuisine, presentations, and performances. To make this night a success, we need the help and support of all members of the Payton community. If you are interested in helping out please fill out the interest sheet and contact Ms. Long (cmlong@cps.edu) for more information
