MathThe Payton Math Department takes a problem solving based approach to learning mathematics. Students learn by actively doing mathematics. The content studied is presented using multiple representations (numeric, graphical, and symbolic). Technology is incorporated where it is enriching (graphing calculators, Geometer's Sketchpad, etc.) We value both pure mathematics and proof along with applications. We take a varied approach to meet the learning needs of all of our students.
