For more details, click here for the flyer! (pdf)Stressed Out StudentsIn February, the Stressed Out Students Team, in partnership with FOP, conducted a round table discussion. The purpose of this exercise was to critically evaluate the root causes of stress within the Payton community and the symptoms of this stress. The goal of the "SOS" Team is to heighten awareness to issues affecting student stress and to identify, evaluate and develop action plans to address the issue of academic stress factors our teens face. At this meeting, there will be six positions up for election: President, Executive Vice, President, Assistant Treasurer, Recording Secretary, VP-Communications and VP Fundraising. The only position not currently up for election this year is that of Treasurer. If you have an interest in running for these positions, please contact Kathy Tallering at fiveitz@rcn.com no later than Friday, May 2 as she will be drawing up the ballots that will be used for the election process.More information is available here (pdf). By attending class daily, students further their education and that of their classmates. A phone call is necessary by 10 AM to report an absence and reason for absence.The attendance report number is (773) 534-0042. Upon return, a note written by a parent or guardian must be presented to the attendance office stating the reason for absence. Excused absences allow students to make up work, quizzes and tests. |
