Friends of Payton (FOP) is a parent-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID #36-4409659) that raises funds and provides volunteer assistance to support Walter Payton College Prep. Our mission is to enrich educational and extracurricular activities with outside resources to supplement the limited funding allotted to Payton through the public school system.

Please note that Payton’s student registration dates have been set for the 2018-2019 school year. Mark your calendars:

Monday, 8/20, 9am-12pm -- Class of 2019 (seniors)

Tuesday, 8/21, 9am-12pm -- Class of 2020 (juniors)

Wednesday, 8/22, 9am-12pm -- Class of 2021 (sophomores)

Incoming freshmen will register with their advisories during Freshmen Connection, 8/20-8/23, 1-4pm. In keeping with tradition, FOP will host a Freshman Family Orientation and Pizza Party, 8/23, 4-7pm.

Our inaugural Grizzly 5K drew 150+ people for a fun morning in Lincoln Park. Our top student finisher was Zack Rose. Our first-place parent finisher was Karl Flener. FOP thanks all the volunteers who helped with the race and the families who made donations to the event. A special thanks goes to Felicia Winiecki, who organized this fun run for our community and brought this concept to life.
